Great. So the social justice warriors have necro’d a bunch of 8-10 year old videos and cancelled Jenna fucking Marbles. The only good OG comedy creator on the entirety of YouTube.
Sure she did a bunch of stupid shit when she was young and trying to be edgy for views, just like all of the other creators of the time doing stupid edgy noob shit. Instead of starting 97 squeaky clean new channels to bury her past or just giving up entirely, like many of her contemporaries, she stuck with it, grew up, and showed us that it is possible to be an angry, sarcastic, confused, young 20 something and grow up into a really decent person who makes soap hands, throws dog weddings, fails miserably at making corn-on-the-cob-except-the-corn-bone-is-a-hotdog, and water marbles her CROCKS.
I never ever took offense to any of her “this is what a girl’s/guy’s [hair/clothes/shoes/underwear] mean videos, because, unlike the rest of you precious snowflakes, I can understand the super complex concepts of hyperbole, satire, and absurdist comedy.
She made the “black face” (bad tan) Niki Minaj video NINE years ago, and removed it so long ago that I have never even seen it. (BTW, she always had horrendous, way-too-dark tans back then.) I’ve watched every single one of her videos, as they were released, for at least 6 years, and I’ve watched the majority of her back catalog in that time as well, and I’ve still never seen the damned thing. And, frankly, Niki Minaj is a reprehensible asshole who is married to a sex offender, supports her child molesting brother, and makes videos with child rapists. So, I’m terribly sorry, but I don’t give a crap if Jenna slammed her. I cannot comment on her music video, because I have not seen it, because I deeply loathe rap music. And, again, it was nine years ago, and she addressed it, apologized, grew up, and moved on.
Years ago she spoke about her state of mind at the time when she made those older videos, stating that she was an unhappy person at that point in her life. She said she was embarrassed by, and unhappy with, those videos and no longer wanted to make content like that and was moving forward, away from that stuff. Even at that point, she had already made huge strides, and she had made even more progress since.
Jenna is the least problematic person on YouTube. She makes idiotic craft/”beauty’ videos, talks about her dogs and her plants, and is all around wholesome as fuck. Her content has been ~*~ 32 year old laaady~*~ stuff for five or six solid years. Her audience has grown along with her, and it sucks that a bunch of whiny bitches have harassed her to the point where she’s given up. Her videos were well made, always funny, not riddled with midreal ads, and through them you can see her growing into a lovely person who, through her content, has helped a lot of people deal with hard times.
“Ehhhhhhh, you’re not blaaaack; it’s not your place to forgive heerrr.” Fuck you. It was nine years ago, and she’s apologized, grown up, and moved on. You should too.
“Ehhhhhhh, she was slut shaaaaming, and you’re not militant enough of a third wave misaaaandrist, so it’s not your place to forgive her for what we now think is slut shaming” Fuck you, too. It wasn’t slut shaming. You’re fabricating problems where there needn’t be any.
“Ehh, she didn’t create enough drama to feed us drama trolls, so we had to cancel her” Fuck you most of all.
The only video of her’s that’s ever bothered me is this last one, because she’s legitimizing this Orwellian “let’s cancel absolutely everything that might offend even one person, and if you’re not offended, you should be” movement that’s been gaining steam through social media over the last few years. She’s an outstanding human being that should not have succumb to this.

And yes, I used swear words. I’m upset and deleted a shitload of extraneous profanity already. Also, this blog isn’t meant for kids.
