Hey lovelies!
So my downtime was a bit longer than I said it would be.
Honestly, I stopped streaming because I started dating a viewer in mid-October. This will not ever happen again, as it was one of the dumbest decisions I’ve ever made; I’ve made worse decisions, but it was definitely in the top 5.
I was intensely uncomfortable streaming while he was online, because he was verbally aggressive with my viewers, and that’s just not what I wanted my channel to be about. This should have been a red flag, but sometimes I’m stupid. I didn’t really know how to tell him he couldn’t play with me while I streamed, so I just quit streaming. I’m not going to sit here and bash him, but I thought I owed you guys an explanation, and that’s all I really have to say about it.
Since I dumped him in April, I’ve changed a lot of things in my life.
I spend a lot of time in Vancouver.
I’m learning modern web development from my original web mentor and long-time friend. I’ve dumped php, basic HTML and CSS, and replaced it with Python, Angular JS, Sass, HTML5, and Foundation for Apps.
I’ve started going to the gym, lifting some weights, doing extensive stretching because my entire body is incredibly out of whack, and going for 20KM hikes up into the alpine ranges of the mountains in Whistler.
My old laptop from the days of Twitch committed suicide. My web mentor has lent me a Late 2011 15″ MacBook Pro with an i7 in it. I know, all you PC-lovers, and Jobs-haters. I know. I’m a traitor. I have to admit that I love it. And it plays DotA, as well as SEVENTY FOUR of my 110 steam games. DotA runs beautifully.
Speaking of DotA, I’m kind of loving the new character, UNDERLORD!
